Swatch: Revlon Midnight Affair

20120919-112418.jpg

It seems that no matter how ridiculously large my collection grows, there are a handful of polishes that I reach for time and time again.
When I’m in the mood for dark, I always reach for this one.
This is a gorgeous, inky, deep navy blue with a subtle shimmer. This is two coats and the formula is perfection.
Revlon rarely disappoints in my book!

I’m usually into my colors that pop but I think I’ll be willing to try Midnight Affair. It’s so pretty and mysterious. I like it!

I know you must get asked this all the time but which base and top coats do you use? Thanks!

Hey! Thanks for asking. I am actually no loyal to any particular one. Re: top coat, I know seche vite is very well liked, and it is awesome, but I find it really gums up less than half way through the bottle.
I really like Essie good to go.
My favorite is probably the out the door fast drying top coating. It dries fast but isn’t as thick.
I just bought Sally Hanson Anti Chip Top Coat, but haven’t tried it yet.
I also just ordered the poshe topcoat.
I have been using OPI Start to finish as my base coat.
I think it might be time to experiment to see which is best!

I currently have Seche Vite and Poshe and I was looking into buying Out the Door, so you definitely just sold me on it! Thank you! 🙂

You’re welcome. The northern light holographic top coats are also gorgeous!!! They look really pretty on all polishes.
